2017 NAIA Women's Soccer Players of the Week ? No. 6 (Oct. 10)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jody LeMaster of Cumberlands (Ky.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Amanda Valentine of Vanguard (Calif.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. LeMaster and Valentine were selected based on their performances from Oct. 2 – 8, and were chosen out of a pool of conference, independent and unaffiliated group winners.

Offensive Player of the Week
Jody LeMaster, Cumberlands (Ky.)
Jr., MF, Stuart, Fla.

  • Notched her second hat trick of the year in 4-0 win against Pikeville (Ky.) on Oct. 3.
    • Weekly Stats:
      • Five goals and 12 points
      • Her five goals came on seven shots-on-goal (.714%)
      • Leads team in season points (26), goals (12) and game-winning goals (3)

Defensive Player of the Week
Amanda Valentine, Vanguard (Calif.)
Jr., GK, Livermore, Calif.

  • Notched two road wins in the net against top 10 opponents
    • Weekly Stats:
      • Blanked No. 6 Westmont (Calif.) on the road with two saves on Oct. 7
      • Three total saves in 180 minutes on the week
      • Has led defense to five shutouts in the last six matches
