The NAIA Women's Soccer Goal Scoring Leader, Cassidy Felger Earns Offensive Player of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Lancers' top goal scorer through the first few weeks of the season is also the top goal scorer in the nation, as Cassidy Felger of Grace (Ind.) was tabbed as the NAIA Women's Soccer National Offensive Player of the Week. Felger earns the accolade for her performance on the pitch from August 21st to 30th.
Felger has been a goal-scoring machine for the Lancers, netting a pair of goals in the team's first four matches, including the team's upset over No. 4 Columbia (Mo.) over the weekend on the road. Grace women's soccer has yet to drop a match this season, as they have shut out opponents and scored multiple goals, thanks to the foot of Felger.
She is averaging of 4.75 points per game thus far while firing off four shots per game. With a 2.50 shot on goal average per game, she is placing .625 percent of her total shots on frame, which contributes to her numerous multi-goal matches.
Outside of Felger's goals, she has tallied three assists, 19 total points, 16 shots, ten shots on goal, and has one game-winning goal.
