2025 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championship Recap - Day 2

Elkhart, Ind. – The second day of competition saw three schools combine to capture five national titles, while Keiser (Fla.) tallied 210 points to remain in first place midway through the 2025 NAIA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday night at the Elkhart Aquatic Center.

  • The Seahawks notched a trio of top-three finishes on the day, including earning national runner-up honors in the 200 free relay and Ines Laurent in the 50 free.
  • St. Thomas (Fla.) utilized a pair of national champion performances to climb into second place with 174 points.  Haley Vanbuskirk opened the finals by winning the 500 free (5:00.87), while Mireya Bonilla Flores tallied 222.55 points to take first place in 3-meter diving.
  • Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is in third place with 157 points after garnering a pair of national titles.  Maaike Broersma went 23.16 to defend her 50 free title and she anchored the Blue Raiders 200 free relay the placed first.  Joining Broersma was Natalia Gorska, Natascha Evreinoff Salinas, and Kirsten de Goede and the quartet posted a winning time of 1:33.83.
  • Katherine Dyer of The Masters (Calif.) touched the wall in 2:01.49 to break the NAIA meet record and win the 200 IM.
  • Cumberlands (Ky.) and Bethel (Ind.) round out the top five with 142 and 103 points, respectively.  

The NAIA Championship will continue Friday, March 7, with the third day of competition. Prelims are slated to begin at 9 a.m. EST and finals will start at 5 p.m. EST.
