2025 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championship Recap - Day 4

ELKHART, Ind. – Keiser (Fla.) led wire-to-wire and pulled away from the field to win the 2025 NAIA Swimming & Diving Championship Saturday night at the Elkhart Aquatic Center. It marks the fourth-straight national title for the Seahawks, who finished with 636.5 points.

Keiser closed out the final day with five top-three finishes, including winning the 400 free relay with a time of 3:24.01.  A trio of Seahawks earned national runner-up honors in their respective events: Rachel Bradley (200 back), Nikolina Biltoft-Jensen (200 Breast), and Luiza Bersi (200 fly).  Biltoft-Jensen also earned the NAIA Swim of the Meet for her performance in the 100 breast, where she clocked a time of 1:0013.

Lindsey Wilson’s Maaike Broersma repeated as the NAIA Swimmer of the Year after pulling away from the field to win the 200 back with a time of 1:58.35. It was her third individual national title at the championship meet, and it marks the second straight year she won three individual events at nationals.  Kirsten de Goede touched the wall in 48.91 to win the 100 free.  The Blue Raiders finished third overall with 351, and Lindsey Wilson’s Head Coach, Alicia Kemnitz, was named the 2025 NAIA Women’s Coach of the Year.

St. Thomas (Fla.) finished runner-up with 429.5 points. For the second straight year, Stella Warborn broke the NAIA record in the 200 breast, this time clocking a 2:12.45.  The Bobcats also notched a third-place finish in the 400 free relay, clocking a time of 3:27.92.

Macy Schmidtgall of Indiana Wesleyan tallied 227.60 points to win 1-meter diving.  That effort helped Schmidtgall be named the 2025 NAIA Diver of the Year for the second straight season.

Olivet Nazerene’s Kayla Perry pulled away from the field and clocked a 2:02.17 to win the 200 fly.

Tonight’s finals opened with Sky Marjamaa of SCAD recording 17:15.42 to win the 1650 free by over five seconds.

Cumberlands (Ky.) utilized a pair of top-three finishes on the day to earn fourth place with 346.5 points. Bethel (Ind.) edged out SCAD (Ga.) by 1.5 points for fifth place, closing out the championship with 257.5 points.
