Janiszewska Claims NAIA Women's Swimmer & Diver Weekly Honors After Record-Setting Meet
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Natalia Janiszewska of Keiser (Fla.) snagged NAIA Women’s Swimming & Diving weekly recognition after a remarkable showing at the Zippy Invitational. Janiszewska claimed two top-three finishes in individual events and helped the Seahawks post an NAIA-best time in the 200 medley relay.
The freshman broke a pair of school records as the leadoff swimmer in the relays. In the 400-yard medley relay, she led off with a school-record backstroke time of 53.83, and the next day, she set another school record as the leadoff swimmer in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.18. The 200-yard medley relay team, with Janiszewska again leading off in the backstroke, set a new NAIA record with a time of 1:40.56.
Her efforts helped Keiser post the top NAIA times in the 800-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay, and 400-yard medley relay.
Individually, her top finishes included a second-place in the 100-yard backstroke and a third-place in the 200-yard backstroke.
Keiser is off until 2026 and will return to action on January 9, when the Seahawks travel to Tampa, Fla., to face the University of Tampa.
