KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ana Kostic of Robert Morris (Ill.) has been named NAIA Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Kostic was selected based on her performances from March 19 – 25 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group player of the week selections.

The junior native of Hercig-Novi, Montenegro, went a perfect 3-0 in both No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles on the week. Kostic recorded three-set singles wins over a pair of opponents from ranked squads, including a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 triumph over Nathalia Chaddad of No. 23 Webber International (Fla.) on March 19. She followed that up with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 thriller over Mariana Rosa of No. 21 Oklahoma Baptist on March 20.

Kostic paired with teammate Maria Bellorin in posting doubles victories over duos from both Oklahoma Baptist and Webber International. Kostic and Bellorin took an 8-4 decision over Jeanette Hicks and Holly Parnell of Webber International as part of a week in which unranked Robert Morris went 3-0 and toppled two Top 25 opponents. Kostic remains unbeaten in singles and doubles play, carrying a 7-0 record this season in each.

The next women’s tennis Player of the Week will be announced on April 4.
