Munoz Leads No. 21 IWU in Win at Truett McConnell (Ga.) to Earn Women's Tennis Weekly Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Indiana Wesleyan senior Sofia Munoz is the NAIA Women's Tennis Player of the Week after collecting four wins on the week at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, going unbeaten in singles sets against opponents from North Greenville and Truett McConnell (Ga.).

Munoz got the week started with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Abigail Watson, of North Greenville, and picked up a doubles win with Nicole Puga. 

She followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Truett McConnell's Katie Stanfield and paired with Puga again to secure a 7-0 win for the 21st-ranked Wildcats. 

Indiana Wesleyan's season resumes this weekend, at Missouri Baptist, Friday at 3 p.m. CT, followed by a Saturday morning match with No. 19 William Woods (Mo.).
