Apisah of Keiser (Fla.) Claims Women's Tennis Player of the Week, Improves to 16-0 on the Season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Violet Apisah of Keiser (Fla.) snagged the NAIA Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor after another set of wins this past week, marking her second time receiving the recognition this season.
Apisah led the Seahawks to a pair of Division II victories over Tampa and Wayne State, and grabbed a ranked win in singles over Wayne State's No. 29 Malak Arafat.
Apisah is 16-0 on the year in singles, which dates back to the fall. In doubles, she and her sister, Patricia, improved to 16-1 this season with a pair of wins in last week's action.
Keiser women's tennis is 8-0 on the season, and returns to play on Friday, March 20, against New College of Florida, followed by a contest on Saturday against No. 4 Southeastern (Fla.).
