KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Dickinson State (N.D.) senior Kori Nagel of Center, North Dakota, has been named the NAIA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after a commanding start to the indoor season at the Marauders Indoor Opener on Jan. 17.

Nagel picked up where she left of from the previous season and set the standard in the throws, winning both of her events in decisive fashion. She captured first place in the weight throw with a mark of 19.08 meters, a performance that not only established a new Dickinson State school record but also stands as the top mark in the NAIA this season.

She followed her record-setting mark in the weight throw with another victory in the shot put, taking first out of 12 competitors with a throw of 14.90 meters.
