KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Warner (Fla.) freshman sprinter Blessing Ogundiran has been named Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after a record-breaking debut for the Royals at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on January 15.
Hailing from Lagos, Nigeria, Ogundiran delivered an immediate impact in her first meet, turning the 60 meters into a statement performance that reset the program standard. Competing in a 27-athlete field, Ogundiran won the 60m with a time of 7.25, earning first place and an A Standard mark. The performance did more than secure the top spot in the race; it placed her at the top of both leaderboards. She ranks 10th overall on the TFRRS All-College Indoor Track Leaderboard
