Emeline Delaville Claims Top Time in NAIA in the 800m

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Life (Ga.) junior Emeline Delaville has been named the NAIA Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after a top performance at the Bob Pollock Meet on Jan. 31 in Clemson, South Carolina.

A native of Paris, France, Delaville delivered one of the top middle-distance races in the country this season, and sits atop the NAIA standings in the women’s 800 meters against a field loaded with DI talent from power conferences. Delaville clocked 2:06.29 in the 800m, earned an "A" standard mark. She finished fourth overall in a 47-athlete field that included competitors from SEC and ACC programs. 

Delaville’s impact extended beyond the 800. Later in the meet, she helped Life’s 4x400m relay team post a 3:46.04, an NAIA-leading time this season. The relay placed ninth in a 13-team field.
