2025 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Netting Professionals Athletes of the Week - No. 3 (March 26)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jaelyn Mitchell of Xavier (La.) is the NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, and Rosjai Curtis, of Park (Mo.) earned the honor as NAIA Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, collecting five NAIA championship standards between them from March 17-23.

The duo was selected from a pool of conference and Continental Athletic Conference (independent) nominees. Athletes of the Week are announced on Wednesday on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

Jaelyn Mitchell, Xavier (La.) – SO

  • At the Louisiana Classics, qualified for the 2025 NAIA Outdoor National Championship in three events, two with an A-standard, one with a B-standard.
  • Part of a 400-meter relay time, 46.15 seconds, that is the second-fastest in Xavier (La.) history.
  • Best finish came in the 100-meter dash, finishing third with an A-standard time of 11.71 seconds.

NAIA Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

Rosjai Curtis, Park (Mo.) – FR

  • In her Park (Mo.) debut, earned two qualifying marks at the USM Spire Open, including an A-standard in the long jump, winning that event and the triple jump.
  • Her long jump of 5.90 meters, second-best in Park track & field history.
  • Achieved B-standard in the triple jump at 11.91 meters.
