SIOUX CITY, Iowa - (Final Bracket) (Box Score) After finishing as the runner-up last season, Concordia (Calif.) won the 2012 NAIA Volleyball National Championship presented by CNOS Foundation. Concordia won 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 25-19) winning its first ever national championship in school history and concluding its season with a 38-0 record.

"Nothing came easy tonight and this is one tough group," said Concordia's head coach Dan Fisher. "They really found a way when we were in tight situations this year and I couldn't be prouder. We always believed and they deserved this."

With Concordia holding a 4-3 lead over Columbia, the Eagles went on an 8-2 run to take a 12-6 lead in set one. The Cougars never got within three points the remainder of the set and the Eagles took set one, 25-19.

Columbia took set two 25-20 as they pulled away early to start the second set as the Cougars led 8-3 after an attack error by Maddy Ekis. The Eagles never quit and battled back to tie the game at 15 before taking the lead at 16-15, after an Elizabeth Younglove ace.

The Eagles bounced back in the third set, 25-21. With the game tied at 16, the Eagles scored the next four points to take a 20-16 lead. The Eagles did not let Columbia any closer than three the rest of the set and Concordia took a two sets to one match lead.

In the fourth set the Eagles took an early 5-1 lead over the Cougars. However, Columbia continued to battle and ended up taking a 9-8 lead. The Eagles would not lie down and bounced back to take a 12-10 lead after an attack error by Paula Ferreira. The Eagles continued to dominate in the four set and scored the last three points of the set to clinch its first ever national championship.
