SIOUX CITY, Iowa [BOX SCORE] - In a Pool B matchup at the 2024 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship, the Missouri Baptist Spartans defeated the Montana Tech Orediggers in straight sets (25-22, 25-17, 25-22).

Missouri Baptist had a strong offensive showing in the match with a hitting percentage of .303 compared to Montana Tech's .140.

Gabi Jakubowska led the way for MBU with 17 kills, while Kassie Lee and Madison Moore each contributed nine kills. Maiana Coelho had an impressive 37 assists that helped her surpass 2,000 career assists as a Spartan. 

On the Montana Tech side, Olivia Labeau recorded nine kills, and Rhys Layton had 27 assists, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Spartan's strong performance.

With the win, MBU advances to 26 pool play wins during the team's NAIA Championship history. 

Pool B resumes action Friday at 4:30 p.m. C.T. with a match between Indiana Wesleyan and Montana Tech. 

If Montana Tech wins vs Indiana Wesleyan, the pool will have a tiebreak to play after the final pool play match on Friday to determine who advances out of Pool B. Check out the tie-break scenario HERE. All tie breaks will be streamed on the NAIA Network.

If Indiana Wesleyan wins vs Montana Tech on Friday, Indiana Wesleyan will be the winner of Pool B and advance out of pool play.
