SIOUX CITY, Iowa [BOX SCORE| SCHEDULE] - In the 2025 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championships, the IU Kokomo (Ind.) Cougars defeated the Cornerstone (Mich.) Golden Eagles in a battle of four sets (26-24, 32-34, 25-19, 25-23).

IU Kokomo (32-5) claimed the first set narrowly, with a score of 26-24. Cornerstone (27-9) bounced back in the second set, pushing IU Kokomo to the limit before conceding a 34-32 defeat. The third set saw IU Kokomo take control with a 25-19 win, and they sealed their victory in the fourth set, edging out Cornerstone 25-23.

For IU Kokomo, Lexi Broyles was a standout, achieving a remarkable .464 hitting percentage with 14 kills and only one error on 28 attempts. Cali Cummings contributed significantly with 14 kills and a .355 hitting percentage. Mya Grigsby was also instrumental, adding 15 kills and four aces.

Cornerstone's Aubrey Johnson led her team with 21 kills, maintaining a .304 hitting percentage. Josilyn Potter and Gabby VerBerkmoes also made notable contributions, with Potter adding 14 kills and VerBerkmoes delivering a solid defensive performance with four blocks.

IU Kokomo led the match with an offensive efficiency of .246 compared to Cornerstone's .198. Defensively, IU Kokomo had a slight edge with 80 digs to Cornerstone's 76 and 18 blocks compared to Cornerstone's 16.

With the loss, the Golden Eagles are eliminated from tournament play. 

With the win, the Cougars secured their fourth championship pool play win in program history. IUK will advance to play Indiana Wesleyan on December 5 at 12 p.m. CT on court 2
