Northwestern (Iowa) Wins Pool B with a Sweep

SIOUX CITY, Iowa [BOX SCORE | BRACKET] - In the 2025 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship, the Northwestern (Iowa) Red Raiders swept the Aquinas (Mich.) Saints in straight sets (25-22, 25-16,25-19) to win Pool B.

Stella Winterfeld led the charge for the Red Raiders with an impressive 17 kills and a .317 hitting percentage. Sidney Oostra and Rylie Franken also made significant impacts, adding six kills each to the team's tally. Zavyr Metzger was particularly effective at the net, recording two solo blocks and five block assists. Liv Reitsma and Nyah Pottoff were the playmakers of the match, each tallying 16 assists. 

For the Saints, Natalie West and Cece Pelak both registered seven kills. Bella Hommes led Aquinas' back line, recording 21 digs, while setter Natalie West tallied 24 assists as well as nine digs. 

With this loss, Aquinas is eliminated from tournament play.

Northwestern will move on to championship quarterfinal action, making their ninth appearance in program history. They will face the winner of Pool G on Saturday, December 6, at 5:30 p.m. CT.
