2024 NAIA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week - No. 5 (October 2)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jaynie Halterman of Taylor (Ind.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Halterman was selected based on her performances from September 23-29 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Runners of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and X.

NAIA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week 

Jaynie Halterman, Taylor (Ind.) - FR

  • Ran in the Gans Creek Classic
  • Finished first of 307 runners in the 6k
  • In her second collegiate race, she recorded a new program record of 20:56.7, leading the field by 27 seconds.
