Huston-Tillotson's Culture 

Helping students become well-rounded individuals is a primary goal which serves as a clearinghouse for student organizations at Huston-Tillotson University. There are currently a number of umbrella and recognized student organizations on campus that encompass a range of interests. Including Greek life, Athletics, Cheer, Dance, Jazz Band, Drumline and Pep Band.

The department of student affairs houses most of the University’s student-centered services and offices. Including Religious Life and Campus Ministry, where our spiritual hunger is fed. Career and post-graduate services, where our genius generation cultivates their focused drive and career aspirations. Counseling and Consultation and disability services, our safest space on campus. The office of student development, where career readiness is top priority in and outside the classroom and Of course Campus and Residence life, because life on the Yard, is priceless.

Student affairs nurtures Integrity, promotes Diversity, exudes Excellence, requires Accountability, and curates leadership. With Major emphasis on building the IDEAL RAM! We are a department driven by passion and fueled by our pupil's desires to reach greatness. Student Affairs is the clearinghouse for student engagement.

Campus Life is home to more than 20 Registered student organizations, including Student Government Association, NAACP, Campus Activities Board, and the National Pan-Hellinic Council (the Divine 9).

The counseling and Consultation center is our university’s safe place. Located in the Sandra Joy Anderson Wellness Center, students can receive scheduled counseling sessions as well as academic support accommodations and services from our office of disability services.

Our offices of Career and postgraduate services and Student Development focus on making sure our students are ready for life after college. Be it, grad school, corporate or tech America Job, or entrepreneurial endeavors. We have got you covered.

Are you a biblical scholar? Need a prayer when it’s NOT finals time? We’ve got a guy for that too! Religious Life and Campus Ministry not only maintains HT’s religious roots and historical founding, but it also provides our students a pathway on their desired spiritual walk.

Student affairs is the one-stop shop for most of your non-academic needs! If the answer isn’t student Affairs, you might be doing it wrong!
