KANSAS CITY, Mo - Jenna Adams of Lee (Tenn.) has been named the NAIA National Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Adams was selected based on her performances from Feb. 11 - 17 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/unaffiliated group winners.

Adams, a native of Englewood, Tenn., averaged 27.5 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 63.6 percent (21-of-33) from the field in Lee's wins against NCCAA Tennessee Temple and then-No. 24 Southern Poly (Ga.) last week. She logged a double-double in both games and now has 11 for the season. The sophomore forward recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds and three steals at Tennessee Temple on Feb. 12. Adams followed up with career-high 41-point effort to go along with 14 rebounds, five blocks, four steals and two rebounds against Southern Poly. She shot an impressive 68.2 percent (15-of-22) from the field, including a 6-for-12 mark from beyond the arch against the Hornets.

On the season, Adams leads the team with 247 total rebounds - 14th nationally - and is second in scoring at 14.9 points per game.
