Kennedy Stormer Earns Offensive Player of the Week with Two 30 Point Outings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kennedy Stormer of Bismarck State (N.D.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Gared Sports Performance Offensive Player of the Week after delivering a solid three-game stretch. The senior guard from Mandan, North Dakota, topped 30 points twice after having reached that mark only once previously this season.

Across the week’s action, Stormer averaged 28.3 points per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field, totaling 85 points on 31-of-63 shooting in 118 minutes. She added 14 assists and 23 rebounds, consistently carrying the Mystics’ offense with high-volume efficiency and the ability to create for others.

Stormer opened the stretch on Jan. 30 against Providence (Mont.), logging 24 points in 38 minutes on 10-of-22 shooting. She followed that performance the next day versus Montana State-Northern with 30 points in 40 minutes, hitting 11-of-21 from the floor while also getting to the line for six made free throws. The week culminated on Feb. 1 with a road matchup against the University of North Dakota, where Stormer delivered her most complete performance. Though the Mystics fell 89–80, she poured in 31 points on 10-of-20 shooting, knocked down 3-of-6 from three-point range, and went 8-of-10 at the free-throw line. Stormer nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with 10 assists and nine rebounds to go with her 31 points.

Beyond the scoring totals, Stormer averaged 39.3 minutes per game, contributed 7.7 rebounds per contest, and posted 4.7 assists per game for the week, highlighted by her 10-assist outing against North Dakota.
