Grace Field Leads Fire to 2--0 Week En Route to Offensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Grace Field of Southeastern (Fla.), a graduate forward from Albany, N.Y., has been named the NAIA Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, following a pair of stellar performances that led her to a new career-high and an undefeated week for her team.

Field's recent performances have highlighted her offensive skills; she set a career high with 32 points on an almost perfect 13-of-14 shooting performance in a commanding 107-81 victory over Coastal Georgia. Her shooting accuracy was a dazzling 92.9 percent from the field, complemented by an impressive 85.7 percent from the free-throw line, where she converted 6 of 7 attempts.

In a subsequent game against St. Thomas (Fla.), Field showcased her versatility and endurance, playing 38 minutes and making significant contributions to both ends of the court. She scored 19 points and pulled down an astounding 17 rebounds, leading the Fire to a 63-59 win. Her efforts were instrumental in maintaining Southeastern's perfect 8-0 record for the season.

In Field's overall weekly statistics, she averaged 35 minutes per game, scoring 25.5 points and grabbing 14 rebounds per contest. Her field goal percentage stood at an impressive 67.9 percent, and she maintained an 81.3 percent success rate from the free-throw line.

Beyond scoring, Field demonstrated her all-around game with 10 assists over the two games, playing a crucial role in the team's ball movement. Her defensive contributions were equally notable, as she averaged 2.5 steals per game, along with 5 blocks in the game against Coastal Georgia.
