Sarah Snodgrass Record Breaking Performance Earns Offensive Player of the Week
SIOUX CITY, Mo. - Sophomore guard Sarah Snodgrass of John Brown (Ark.) has been named the Gared Performance Sports Systems NAIA Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week. Snodgrass delivered an extraordinary two-game road stretch, averaging an impressive 32 points and 18.5 rebounds per game against Oklahoma City and Southwestern Christian (Okla.).
Snodgrass's week began with a historic outing at Oklahoma City, where she scored 33 points and shattered the program record with 24 rebounds, despite the team's narrow 69-63 loss at Abe Lemons Arena. Logging 39 minutes on the court, she completed 12 field goals and nine free throws, becoming only the second player in the program's history to achieve a 30–20 game since Lisa Hunt's remarkable 1983–84 season performance.
Two days later, Snodgrass was instrumental in leading the Golden Eagles to a thrilling 73-67 overtime victory against Southwestern Christian. She poured in 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, shooting 12-of-20 from the field.
Snodgrass’s shooting efficiency was remarkable, with a field goal percentage of 55.8% and a free throw percentage of 75.0% over the two games. Her ability to control the boards was evident as she averaged 18.5 rebounds per game, including a staggering 24-rebound performance against Oklahoma City
