Resources

The ASA Informational Toolkit & Best Practices helps lay the groundwork regarding the purpose and importance of an ASA and provides operational guidelines and best practices.

ASAs serve as a tool for student-athlete engagement. They have the potential to become a critical conduit for the evaluation, development, and support of the strategic initiatives related to student-athlete development. To provide guidance and framework, the NAIA has developed an ASA Toolkit. The toolkit helps lay the groundwork regarding the purpose and importance of an ASA and provides operational guidelines and best practices.

  • To serve as the voice of all NAIA student-athletes in the NAIA’s governance.
  • Provide a platform for student-athletes to discuss issues of concern, offer feedback to NAIA membership, and propose legislation or policy changes, as appropriate.
  • Offer its members the opportunity to develop their leadership skills as they represent and empower all NAIA student-athletes.

Council for Student-Athletes

The purpose of the NAIA Council for Student-Athletes is to engage in ongoing research, education and collaboration that will benefit the health, safety and development of the student-athlete.
