KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jurrion Dickey is the PrestoSports NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week after hauling in seven receptions for 178 yards and two touchdowns in Midland’s 28-16 road win over No. 13 Northwestern (Iowa), Saturday, helping the Warriors move into the Top 25 in this week’s coaches’ poll.
Dickey averaged 25.4 yards per reception, with both of his touchdown catches coming in the second half. His 22-yard score in the third quarter put Midland (Neb.) in front, 14-10, before the junior wide receiver from East Palo Alto, Calif., struck again with a 54-yard touchdown to help seal the victory.
The win was Midland’s first over Northwestern in 25 years and moved the Warriors to 4-0 on the season. Midland climbed to No. 18 in this week’s poll after receiving votes a week ago.
The Warriors return home Saturday, hosting Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) at 1 p.m. CT in Fremont, Neb.
