KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Yemane Mulugeta, a sophomore from Trinity Western (B.C.), is the NAIA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after winning the George Oja Invitational, hosted by Linfield, on Oct. 18.
His finish helped Trinity Western finish fifth, as a team, the second-best NAIA showing in the event. Mulugeta ran the 8K race in 23:34, 13 seconds better than teammate and second-place finisher Justin Kiplagat.
Trinity Western has concluded its regular season and is slated to compete in Nov. 7 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Cross Country Championship in Independence, Ore.
