KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Life (Ga.) defender Tibo Jacobs was tabbed the PrestoSports NAIA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week following a pair of shutout victories for the Running Eagles.
Jacobs played all 180 minutes on the back line against a pair of strong opponents in extreme heat last weekend, helping anchor a defense that posted clean sheets in both contests. The Running Eagles opened the week with a 2-0 victory over No. 11 Keiser (Fla.) before earning a 1-0 win over St. Thomas (Fla.).
The two victories moved Life to 4-1 on the season and extended the Running Eagles’ early-season momentum.
Life will look to continue its strong start this week, as they host Mobile (Ala.) on Friday and No. 22 Faulkner (Ala.) on Sunday.
