A perfect week on the road was fueled by the playmaking ability of Kaia Barnett, as the Fisk (Tenn.) senior has been named the PrestoSports NAIA Women’s Volleyball Setter of the Week.

Barnett directed the Fisk offense to four consecutive victories, totaling 147 assists in 15 sets for an average of 9.80 assists per set. The Bowling Green, Kentucky native excelled as both a setter and all-around contributor, helping the Bulldogs post a 4-0 record while winning every match away from home.

The senior’s top performance came in a four-set victory over No. 10 Cumberlands (Ky.), where she recorded 46 assists, five kills, four service aces, and 10 digs. She followed that effort later the same day with 45 assists and 11 digs in a four-set win over Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), continuing to orchestrate one of the most productive offensive weeks in the nation.

Barnett opened the week with 34 assists against Bethel (Tenn.) before adding 22 assists in a straight-set sweep of Oakwood (Ala.). Across all four matches, she consistently kept the Fisk attack in rhythm while showcasing her versatility on both sides of the ball.

One of the week’s most impressive accomplishments was Barnett’s ability to record a double-double in assists and digs in all four matches. She accumulated 40 digs, averaging 2.67 per set, while also contributing 11 kills and three blocks. From the service line, Barnett was equally impactful, delivering 11 service aces during the four-match stretch.

Barnett also displayed remarkable offensive efficiency, posting a .407 hitting percentage with 11 kills and no attacking errors on 27 attempts.

Her outstanding week further strengthened her standing among the nation’s elite setters, as she currently ranks ninth in the NAIA with 536 assists.

By the end of the week, Barnett had accumulated 147 assists, 40 digs, 11 service aces, and 11 kills, playing a pivotal role in each of Fisk’s four victories and earning national recognition as this week’s PrestoSports NAIA Women’s Volleyball Setter of the Week.
