KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Grace Steinmetz, a sophomore from Bellevue (Neb.), was named this week’s NAIA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for her efforts through Sunday, October 25.
Steinmetz defended her title at the Blazing Tiger Invite against a field featuring many of the NAIA’s top teams and individuals this fall. Her time of 21:28.3 was good enough for her third straight win this fall and was 31 seconds ahead of the second-place competitor. Her mark is also the 13th-fastest time in the NAIA and is the second-fastest mark in the Frontier Conference this fall.
The Bruins will compete next on Friday, November 6, at the Frontier Conference Championships in Billings, Mont.
