KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has renewed its partnership with Drug Free Sport International (DFSI), which will continue serving as the association’s Official Drug Education and Drug-Testing Services Provider through September 2027.

DFSI’s comprehensive anti-doping services will continue to provide NAIA institutions with an independent source of experts in the field dedicated to making sure NAIA student-athletes are competing clean. The company partners with WADA-accredited and SAMHSA-certified laboratories throughout the country to ensure high-quality, expedited results. The partnership between the NAIA and DFSI will lift the burden of schools managing drug testing at competitions and let coaches focus on the game.

Extending a partnership with DFSI

DFSI leverages its vast experience in drug education, prevention, and testing administration to help develop comprehensive, customized, and cost-effective programs  that protect the NAIA and its student-athletes’ best interests. There will be educational opportunities for student-athletes to learn about banned ingredients and make informed decisions when it comes to performance- enhancing supplements.

“Clean competition is a shared responsibility, and the NAIA has shown a strong commitment to the integrity of sport and the well-being of its student-athletes,” said Andy Butler, president of Drug Free Sport International. “Drug Free Sport is proud to renew our partnership and to support NAIA institutions with the education and drug-testing programs that protect clean sport.”

The renewed agreement reinforces the NAIA’s commitment to the safety of student-athletes and the integrity of sport.

“Providing our student-athletes with a fair and consistent competitive environment is an important responsibility. This partnership helps our member institutions support that commitment through drug education and testing” said NAIA President & CEO Jim Carr. “When it comes to our players, we want to make sure everyone is safe and that our drug-free policy is clear to everyone involved.”
