KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Abigail Stucker, a sophomore from John Brown (Ark.), has been named this week’s NAIA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for her efforts over September 7 – 13.
Stucker participated in the Queen City After Dark Invite and placed fifth with a time of 17:44.0 over the 5k course in Springfield, Mo. Stucker’s time is a new program record for the Golden Eagles by two seconds, as she was the top NAIA runner in a field that featured 138 runners. Her finish helped John Brown to a fourth-place finish, which was the best team result from the NAIA teams that participated.
John Brown will compete next on Saturday, October 3, at the Chile Pepper Festival at Agri Park in Fayetteville, Ark.
