KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that the Alachua County Sports and Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida, will host the NAIA Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships in 2027 and 2028.

The Gainesville Sports Commission will serve as host for both championships, continuing a partnership that has brought the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships to Gainesville in 2025 and 2026.

“The Gainesville Sports Commission and Alachua County Sports and Events Center have been tremendous partners in creating Championship Moments for our student-athletes,” said Austin Bennett, NAIA Vice President of Championships. “The quality of the facility, combined with the commitment of the host team, provides our student-athletes with the first-class championship experience they deserve. We are excited to continue that partnership and return to Gainesville in 2027 and 2028.”

The Alachua County Sports and Events Center at Celebration Pointe provides a premier indoor championship venue, featuring a World Athletics-compliant competition setup, a 200-meter Mondo banked track, and an eight-lane 60-meter sprint area. The venue also offers walkable access to dining, shopping, and entertainment, providing a convenient experience for participating teams and spectators throughout the championship.

The facility has established itself as a destination for high-level indoor track and field competition. In addition to hosting the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in 2025 and 2026, the Alachua County Sports and Events Center hosted the 2025 USATF Masters Indoor Championships and 2025 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships.

“Our partnership with the NAIA continues to be incredibly meaningful for Gainesville and Alachua County,” said Joleen Cacciatore Miller, Executive Director of the Gainesville Sports Commission. “We are thrilled to welcome the nation’s top student-athletes back to our community for the 2027 Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Championships. This championship brings outstanding student-athletes to our destination and showcases our community, our first-class facility, and the collaborative spirit that makes events like this possible. We look forward to welcoming everyone in 2027.”

The championships will take place March 4-6, 2027, and March 2-4, 2028.
