KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Anaya Lister of Warner (Fla.) was locked in for the opening weekend of the 2026 season as the Royals took the field for the first time, as a double-digit point performance landed her NAIA Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week Honors.

Lister was ready to go in the first two games of the season for Warner over the weekend. In her two games played and one start, she netted a total of nine goals and tossed in six assists. Her 15-point performance helped the Royals to a perfect 2-0 start. She was 1-for-1 on free position opportunities, while grabbing five ground balls, one draw control, and one caused turnover.

She was also impactful just by having a presence in the offensive third, as her shooting was on point, putting 80% of her shots on frame, which helped create space for her teammates to score 50 goals between the first two games.

Lister and company are back on the field Monday, Feb. 23, with a tough battle on their hands. The Royals welcome in Cumberlands (Ky.) to Tye Athletic Field with a chance to make some noise early. Opening draw is set for 6 p.m. ET.
