Benedictine (Kan.) Extends Stay in Decatur After Defeating Lawrence Tech (Mich.) Monday Morning
DECATUR, Ala. – [Watch On-Demand] Benedictine Ravens women’s lacrosse cruised past Lawrence Tech Blue Devils women’s lacrosse, 24-4, on Monday morning at Jack Allen Sports Complex, using a dominant first half and overwhelming possession advantages to extend their stay and punch their ticket to the semifinals on Wednesday, May 13.
Benedictine (17-0) struck first and never let up, scoring seven times in the opening quarter. 2026 NAIA Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Year Kaylen Moore opened the scoring at 13:08, and the Ravens followed with six more goals before the end of the period. Lawrence Tech (11-8) briefly stopped the run when Bella Louwerse scored unassisted at 2:55, but BC answered with two more goals to take a 7-1 lead after the first quarter.
The second quarter was more of the same. The Ravens poured in eight goals — including three in a 48-second burst (10:48, 10:17, 10:00) — to stretch the margin to 15-1 at halftime. Lorelei Siegel and Emma Rushing repeatedly finished possessions, while Alexa Hildenbrand helped orchestrate the offense.
LTU got on the board in the third when Morgan Waligora finished an Alyson Walendzak assist at 10:09, but the Ravens answered with six goals in the quarter to push the lead to 21-2 entering the fourth.
Louwerse scored twice more in the final period — again unassisted early (14:29) and then off a Walendzak feed (4:15) — to complete a three-goal day, but Benedictine closed out the 24-4 win with steady finishing down the stretch.
