KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tatum Oberhauser of Defiance (Ohio) did something that has not been seen in program history last week, collecting a pair of hat tricks along with PrestoSports-NAIA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Oberhauser was locked in over the Yellow Jackets two matches last week. In her first match, she put .75 percent of her shots on frame adding four goals to her season total with an assist against Andrews University. Two days later, she put up four more goals with a .455 shot on goal percentage against Alice Lloyd (Ky.).
On the week, the sophomore from Liberty Center, Ohio scored eight goals on 11 shots on goal with one assist. Oberhauser is averaging nearly a goal per game over her career with 20 goals in 25 career matches, which is good enough for third best in Yellow Jackets program history.
Oberhauser and Defiance (3-3-1) take the pitch again tomorrow September 16 against IU South Bend (Ind.) at home, rounding out their non-conference slate. They begin WHAC play on the 19th against Rochester Christian (Mich.) in Washington, Mich.
