KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Naomi Woerner Of New College of Florida opened her 2026 campaign leading the Mighty Banyans potent offense across three games in goals to pick up PrestoSports NAIA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Woerner was active up front during the first three matches of the season, finding the back of the new five different times. In the season opener against Florida National, all she needed was one shot to score helping NCF to a 3-1 victory.
Four days later, Woerner put two goals away on the road against Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) on five total shots with three shots on goal. Then the very next day at Wesleyan (Ga.), she added two more goals to her weekly total along with a trio of assists as the Mighty Banyans blanked Wesleyan.
Overall the senior forward put away five goals, assisted on three more and took 16 shots with nine of them on frame tying NCF’s single-season program record for goals scored.
Woerner and company take the pitch again on September 5 at Thomas (Ga.). Kick off is set for 4 p.m. ET.
