Koch Becomes Fourth Concordia Bulldog to Win National Player of the Week, Claiming Season's Final Special Teams Award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Concordia (Neb.) sophomore punter Braxtyn Koch became the fourth Bulldog to be named NAIA Football Player of the Week in 2025, claiming the final special teams honor of the season after a big day punting that helped CUNE knock off No. 19 Northwestern (Iowa), 21-17.
Koch had five punts on the day, totaling 226 yards and an average of 45.2 yards per punt, with a long of 59.
He pinned three punts inside the Red Raiders' 15-yard line, one at the 11, and two inside the five at the 5- and 2-yard lines. Koch also forced a pair of fair-caught punts, as Northwestern finished the day with zero punt-return yards in the game.
In 2025, Koch punted 54 times with an average of 37.1 yards per punt.
Concordia closed its season at 7-3.
