Warner (Fla.) Duo Claims Season's Second Player of the Week Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Third-ranked Warner (Fla.) had one of the most explosive weeks in the brief history of NAIA Women's Flag Football, beating Saint Leo 81-0 and Brewton-Parker Christian (Ga.) 80-0, earning both of the NAIA's weekly awards in the sport for quarterback and offensive honoree Kathryn Hutchinson, and defensive recognition for Jessica Finley.

Hutchinson facilitated the 161-0 week for the Royals by throwing for 728 yards and 17 touchdowns, completing 23-of-26 in each game, 46-for-52 on the week and an 88.5 percent completion percentage.

She threw 10 touchdowns to begin the week against Saint Leo and seven more against Brewton-Parker Christian, adding 19 rushing yards against Saint Leo and a rushing touchdown, her 18th of the week, against Brewton-Parker.

Equally as impressive was the Warner defense, which has made a statement by beginning the 2026 season with three-consecutive shutout wins. In last week's wins, Finley was pivotal, picking off four passes, including a 47-yard pick-6 against Saint Leo and three interceptions for 25 yards against BPCC.

The Royals have outscored opponents 227-0 in their three-game start, and they'll return to action this weekend, playing three games in Tampa, Fla.
