The SCAD Savannah (Ga.) Bees Swarmed the Field in Final Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Awards of 2026

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ellen Benintendi and Maddy Hahn of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) clean the NAIA Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards for the final installment of the 2026 season after helping the Bees to a pair of solid, resume-boosting wins ahead of The Sun Conference tournament.

Benintendi, a sophomore midfielder from Cincinnati, Ohio, had two more standout performances on the road in the Sunshine State last week. Across both games, she rattled the cage 10 times and won five draw controls. The Bees leader in goals (51), points (66), and draw controls (93); she was also nearly perfect in free position shots, making 3-of-4 across the two games while scooping three ground balls across the contests. The sophomore is a threat anytime she enters the offensive third of the field, and she's not scared to let it fly: 19 total shots on the week, with 13 on frame.

Benintendi wasn't the only Bee doing all the work in the midfield last week. Maddy Hahn was also busy helping SCAD secure those two big wins. Hahn, a freshman from Queenstown, Md., caused four turnovers across both games, three of which were against No. 5 Seahawks. While the freshman made the turf look like a yard sale, she also picked up six ground balls. Hahn's efforts on defense were nothing short of stellar, as her efforts kept the Seahawks to their lowest goals count of the season in the 12-5 victory.

The Bees have one more regular-season game on the books later this week on the road. Benintendi, Hahn, and Co. will travel to Marietta, Ga., for a tough matchup against No. 7 Life (Ga.). The Bees and Running Eagles will get underway on April 25 as the opening draw is set for 4:30 p.m.. SCAD will look to finish the regular season on a high note and get some rest, as the Sun Conference Tournament begins the following week on April 30.

Ellen and Maddy weren't the only Bees to have stellar weeks; their counterparts on the men's side also swept the men's lacrosse national player of the week honors for the final installment of the 2026 season: Lucas Martinez and Mason Hickman.
