Friends’ Bosher Perfect on Field Goals, Connects on Career-Long Kick for NAIA Special Teams Weekly Award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Freshman Truitt Bosher of Friends (Kan.) was recognized as the NAIA Special Teams Player of the Week for Sept. 29 after delivering a flawless performance on Saturday. He connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and went 6-of-6 on extra-point attempts in the No. 7 Falcons’ 53-0 victory over (RV) Evangel (Mo.).
His three field goals included a career-long 42-yarder.
The Burleson, Texas, native averaged 60.9 yards on 10 kickoff attempts, contributing to a strong all-around special teams effort. Bosher has now made all five of his field-goal attempts this season and is 40-of-41 on extra-point attempts, continuing a solid start to his freshman year.
Friends will search for its sixth consecutive win next week as they face Ottawa (Kan.) on Oct. 4.
