KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jamie Odom threw five touchdown passes and added one on the ground on the way to a 59-28 win to close the season for Southwestern (Kan.), marking Odom’s second NAIA Offensive Player of the Week designation of 2025, this time in the season’s final week.

Odom was 27-for-44, averaging 9.2 yards per passing attempt in the Moundbuilders’ season-ending win over Kansas Wesleyan, throwing for 406 yards without an interception.

His first score of the day was his only TD on the ground, a 12-yard run with 12:42 left in the second quarter to give Southwestern a 19-7 lead.

Odom added two touchdown passes in the second quarter, including his longest pass of the day on a 59-yard strike to Bryce Chambers, who caught both of Odom’s second-quarter TDs. He added another midway through the third quarter, and he threw two touchdown passes in the fourth. His last, a four-yard toss to Matthew Holthus, made Odom the NAIA’s top scoring quarterback in the 2025 regular season with 41 touchdown passes, and tied Holthus for the NAIA lead in touchdown receptions with his 17th of the year.

Southwestern ended the season by moving up to No. 22 in the final poll of the year, closing 2025 with an 8-3 record and a 3-2 mark in the KCAC Bissell.
