KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hannah Ulibarri posted three rounds under par to win the Northwestern Iowa National Invitational, earning NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week, Sept. 24.

Ulibarri was 12-under par over 54 holes, winning the event in dramatic fashion by recording three birdies in the final four holes to close the tournament, earning a three-shot win.

A senior from Fullerton, Calif., Ulibarri opened with a 3-under 69, making five birdies in the first round, followed by her best round of the week, a 6-under 66 that saw eight circles on the scorecard to just two bogeys.

Ulibarri posted her most consistent round in the final round of the event, beginning the final round with six pars, accounting for a bogey on her seventh hole with a birdie two holes later. She made five consecutive pars after that before three-straight birdies to secure the win.

The Master’s (Calif.) resumes its fall season Oct. 6-7, hosting the TMU Danish Classic at Alisal Ranch Golf Course in Solvang, Calif.

NAIA Women’s Golfers of the Week are named weekly, on Wednesdays at NAIA.org, through Oct. 22. The award breaks for the winter and returns March 4, weekly, through April 22.
