KANSAS CITY, Mo. – William Carey (Miss.) senior Taamtond Nivasananda won for the first time in her collegiate career last week at the Mobile Ram Invite, at RTJ Magnolia Grove, helping her team to a first-place finish and earning NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week for March 11.
Nivasananda put three quality rounds together to win by three strokes, opening the tournament with a 2-over 74 before her best 18 holes of the event, 73 in the second round.
The senior from Bangkok, Thailand, closed in 75, top among a field of 39 golfers.
William Carey returns to action next week at UT Southern (Tenn.), in the Fire Hawk Collegiate on the RTJ Golf Trail at The Shoals.
